One of the Four Noble Truths of Buddhism is, "Life is suffering."Oh, really, Buddha? I hadn't noticed during my two medical bankruptcies or while my comedy career spiraled, and my marriage skidded off the rails. Hell yeah, life is difficult, yet I still believe our goal as humans is to seek as much daily happiness as possible. Except how are we supposed to make "tapping into our joy" a more significant item on our busy to-do lists when we're pissed off or in pain or stuck in traffic so much of the time?In 2003, I began researching various gurus on the topic of joy and began to absorb their wisdom.
Based on a combination of their insights (and because I'm also a university-trained systems developer), I created a daily strategy to prioritize more happiness for myself. It reprograms my metaphysical radio (you've got one, too!) to take advantage of a Universal Law. And it's made me joyful way more often!I affectionately (and sarcastically) call this game plan My Effin'Joy Strategy. Let me show you how it works to maximize your moments of daily joy and how to design your own plan just like it.
