Ambientado en la isleña población de San Expósito, el libro cuenta cómo sus protagonistas, movidos por el sexo, el dinero, la ambición de dominio o la mera crueldad evolucionan de forma irremediable hacia un último encuentro mortal. Así, intriga, erotismo, violencia, deconstrucción de estereotipos y reflexión moral se entrecruzan en el territorio de esta historia que supone una indagación en la infamia, una inspección ocular de los sótanos del alma humana y las oscuras motivaciones que hacen que el hombre sea un lobo para el hombre.
